Chief Minister Attends 24th Graduation & Lamp Lighting Ceremony At Ripans

Aizawl : Today, the Regional Institute of Paramedical & Nursing Sciences (RIPANS) held its 24th Graduation & Lamp Lighting Ceremony at the Baptist Centre, Falkland, attended by Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma.

In his address, the Chief Minister emphasized the significance of paramedical sciences in Mizoram and India. He highlighted the exceptional quality of education at RIPANS, noting that graduates are now well-equipped to contribute meaningfully to society. He expressed pride in the graduates for passing their exams with excellence and for their commitment to learning.

The new graduates are encouraged to utilize their skills for the benefit of their communities. The Chief Minister mentioned the importance of the practical training they received, enabling them to excel in their future careers. He also underscored that their qualifications will greatly benefit the health sector, as they are now prepared to support their fellow citizens. He encouraged them to continue their education and remain dedicated to their professions.

The Lamp Lighting Ceremony was particularly memorable, symbolizing hope and enlightenment. The Chief Minister urged the graduates to remember their responsibility towards their communities and to strive for excellence in their future endeavors. RIPANS has proven to be a reputable institution, committed to nurturing skilled professionals in the healthcare field.

The ceremony acknowledged the top three students of the graduating class, who received Proficiency Awards from the Chief Minister.

Prof. Sanjay D. Sawant, Director of RIPANS, spoke about the institution’s achievements and thanked the Chief Minister for his presence. Prof. Lalfamkimi, Principal of the College of Nursing, discussed the nursing programs, noting that 196 students are currently enrolled in the B.Sc Nursing program, which is in its 8th semester. Additionally, the M.Sc Nursing program has commenced this year, with 25 students enrolled.

During the 24th Graduation & Lamp Lighting Ceremony, 39 graduates received their B.Sc Nursing degrees, and 53 new students began their first semester. Graduates from various states in India, including Jammu & Kashmir, also participated in the event. Since its inception in 1996, RIPANS has graduated a total of 788 students across various batches, with each graduate now ready to embark on their professional journeys.
