Pu B. Lalchhanzova, Land Revenue and Settlement Minister, Visits Karnataka Revenue Department

Land Revenue and Settlement Minister Pu B. Lalchhanzova visited the Karnataka Government’s Revenue Department today in Bengaluru. On October 23, Minister Pu B. Lalchhanzova met with Karnataka Revenue Minister Pu Krishna Byre Gowda at Vikasa Soudha to discuss the progress of various state initiatives and the importance of effective land revenue administration in Karnataka.

Minister Lalchhanzova emphasized the need for improving land revenue administration in Karnataka, stating that it should leverage modern technology to enhance efficiency. He acknowledged that Karnataka is recognized for its effective land revenue administration within India.

The meeting included officials such as Pu Rajendra Kumar Kataria, Principal Secretary; Sunil Kumar P, Revenue Commissioner; and Pu J. Manjunath, Commissioner of the Survey Settlement & Land Records Department. They conducted a field visit to various Revenue Department offices from October 23 to 26 to assess ongoing projects and initiatives.

Minister Pu B. Lalchhanzova also discussed the challenges faced by the Mizoram Land Revenue Department, noting the importance of setting up and managing effective revenue administration systems. He highlighted the potential for learning from Karnataka’s successful practices to improve Mizoram’s land revenue system.

The minister was accompanied by Land Revenue & Settlement Secretary Pu Vanlalmawia and other officials during the visit.
