Integrated development taking place in 5,481 PVTG-dominated villages in PM Jan Man : Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that through the Pradhan Mantri Janjatiya Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan (PM Jan-Man) scheme, great efforts have been made to connect Baiga, Bharia and Sahariya, especially the backward tribes (PVTG) residing in the state, with the mainstream of development. The state government has identified 5,481 villages where the PVTG population resides in the majority. In these villages, 9 ministries/departments of the Central and State Governments are providing 11 types of civic amenities in a simple and easy manner.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the campaign, new health centres, hostels, multipurpose centres, roads, bridges and other types of construction works including houses are being done in the special backward tribe-dominated districts of the state at a total cost of Rs 7 thousand 300 crores. With this, more than 11 lakh 35 thousand tribals of Baiga, Bharia and Sahariya special backward tribe category residing in 24 districts of the state will be benefited.
He informed that under the “Saksham Anganwadi and Nutrition 2.0” scheme, new Anganwadi centers are being established and operated smoothly in the districts inhabited by these tribes. New centers are also being opened in such isolated Majra tolas of Special Backward Tribe areas, with a population of 100 or more and where there is no Anganwadi centre. Under the campaign, by providing permanent houses to all the eligible PVTG families and construction of access roads to their populated villages, new Van-Dhan Vikas Kendras, etc. are being constructed, and special efforts are also being made for skill training of these tribes.
Similarly, through Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, the Central and State Governments have prepared a blueprint for the overall development of all the tribes other than PVTGs. The government has planned to connect 11 thousand 377 tribal-dominated villages with the mainstream of development in this campaign. In these villages, 18 ministries/departments of the Central and State governments will provide 25 types of public facilities. In this campaign, the entire tribal population of the state has been covered under the scheme. The concerned ministries/departments of the Central Government will work more actively towards connecting the tribal community with their departmental services/facilities and for their development.
In this campaign, the departments of rural development, water power, power, new and renewable energy, public health and family welfare, petroleum and natural gas, women and child development, education, AYUSH, skill development and entrepreneurship, electronics development and information technology, agriculture, and farmer welfare, Panchayati Raj, Ministry of Tourism and Tribal Affairs along with the Department of Telecommunication, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy have been included to provide their departmental services.Madhya Pradesh in two major campaigns in the interest of tribes
