Thanalanam Secretariat, Tamil Nadu: Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. Udayanidhi Stalin, presided over a ceremony held under the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Fellowship Program, where 19 young graduates were awarded diplomas in recognition of their successful completion of a two-year postgraduate program in Public Policy and Management.

The ceremony celebrated the achievements of the students, who had undergone rigorous training as part of the fellowship aimed at fostering leadership and public service skills. In his address, Mr. Udayanidhi Stalin emphasized the Dravidian model of governance, which prioritizes inclusive development and social welfare. He also highlighted the importance of equipping young leaders with the skills to address the challenges facing society today.

The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Deputy Government Secretary Maruthur Tamaras Ahmed, IAS, and Asit Makh Rama Ergamala, Director and Professor at Arathiten Mamalannama Educational Institute. Mr. Pratap, I.A.S., Deputy Secretary for Project Implementation, also welcomed the attendees.

The Chief Minister’s Fellowship Program, which was launched in 2022, aims to engage young professionals in the public sector and provide them with hands-on experience in policy-making and governance. The program has seen significant participation, with nearly 24,000 applications received and rigorous selection processes, including written tests and interviews.

The fellowship is implemented in partnership with Anna Administrative Staff College and other institutions, providing a structured curriculum to ensure the professional development of the participants. The Deputy Chief Minister noted that the initiative not only benefits the fellows but also enhances the state’s governance by integrating fresh perspectives and innovative solutions.

He concluded by encouraging the graduates to continue serving the people and the government with dedication, using the skills and knowledge acquired through the fellowship to drive positive change.

The Tamil Nadu CM’s Fellowship Program, an initiative under the Mudalanamacher Mahapana 2024, celebrated the success of young participants in a ceremony held at Nandasa. The program aims to empower fellows in various sectors, including home care, mental health care, water management, and medicine. The fellowship offers an opportunity for young professionals to gain valuable skills and insights while contributing to the development of Tamil Nadu and beyond.

The fellowship provides participants with a monthly stipend of ₹65,000 for a period of one year, along with an additional ₹10,000 per month to cover expenses. The program has seen a high level of success, with many fellows securing positions in the Union and State Government, and some receiving job offers with salaries reaching up to ₹2 lakh per month.

Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Udayanidhi Stalin, who attended the event, emphasized the significance of the fellowship in shaping the future leaders of Tamil Nadu. He expressed his gratitude to the graduates for their commitment and encouraged them to continue their efforts to serve the community.

Fellows receive a Postgraduate Certification in Public Policy and Management from Arathiten University of Technology upon successful completion of the program. Mr. Stalin highlighted the importance of applying the skills and knowledge gained through the fellowship to future challenges, reiterating the Dravidian model’s vision of inclusive growth.

The ceremony also served as an opportunity to announce plans for the next phase of the fellowship. Participants were urged to remain committed to their work and to continue collaborating with the government to address the needs of the state.

The fellowship is not just a program but a transformative experience aimed at making a lasting impact on society. As the graduates move forward, their contributions will continue to shape a brighter future for Tamil Nadu and the nation.
