Collective Lakshmi Puja Ceremony Marks Historic Diwali; First Diwali Celebrated at Grand Ram Temple Post Idol Installation – Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma

Jaipur : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma highlighted the special significance of this year’s Diwali, describing it as a festival of enthusiasm and joy. He remarked that this Diwali is historic as it marks the first celebration at the magnificent temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya after the consecration of the idol on January 22, ending a 500-year wait.

Mr. Sharma shared these thoughts while addressing the Collective Lakshmi Puja Ceremony organized by the Chandpol Bazaar Traders Association at Choti Chaupad in Jaipur. Emphasizing rural prosperity, he stated that the wealth of villages, the underprivileged, and farmers is essential for the state’s progress. This year’s ample rainfall has filled all reservoirs, leading to a bountiful harvest and bringing prosperity to villages and farmers across the state.

Chief Minister Purchases Clay Lamps from Street Vendors

In support of the “Vocal for Local” initiative, Chief Minister Sharma purchased clay lamps and other puja items from a street vendor at Badi Chaupad for Diwali celebrations, making the payment through UPI.

The Chief Minister also spoke of the state’s commitment to growth under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He announced that the state government will be hosting the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit from December 9-11, with investment MoUs totaling ₹18 lakh crore already signed. This investment is expected to elevate the state’s development and create new employment opportunities. He encouraged the business community to actively participate in the investment summit.

Prior to his address, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Deepotsav by performing the Lakshmi Puja ritual. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, Minister of Industries and Commerce Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore, Member of Parliament Manju Sharma, MLA Kalicharan Saraf, and various dignitaries, including Jaipur Heritage Mayor Kusum Yadav, Jaipur Greater Mayor Dr. Soumya Gurjar, Chandpol Bazaar Traders Association President Subhash Goyal, were also present at the event, along with representatives from the traders’ association and the public.
