Model of new building of Chhattisgarh Vidhansabha is attracting people

The panoramic view of Chhattisgarh’s new Vidhan Sabha building under construction in Naya Raipur is thrilling people. In the three-day Rajyotsav organized at Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Industry and Trade Complex in Naya Raipur, the Public Works Department stall has displayed the model of the new Vidhan Sabha building and the flyover built in Bhilai’s Power House. Information related to both these constructions has also been displayed in the stall. Here, the major buildings, roads and bridges constructed by the Public Works Department in various areas of the state in recent years have also been displayed.

The new building of Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha is being constructed in Naya Raipur on 52 acres at a cost of Rs 273 crore. The seating capacity of members in this house will be 200. One wing of the new Vidhan Sabha building will have Vidhan Sabha Secretariat, the second will have Vidhan Sabha House, Central Hall, Vidhan Sabha Speaker and Chief Minister’s office and the third wing will have the offices of ministers. An auditorium with a capacity of 500 spectators will also be built here. Construction of two lakes of 1.5 acres each is also proposed in the complex with a parking capacity of 700 cars. Its model has been presented in an attractive manner in Rajyotsav.

The flyover of Power House, Bhilai, displayed at the stall of Public Works Department at the Rajyotsav site, is built on the Raipur-Durg four-lane road on National Highway-53. A flyover passes under this 1660 meter long and 16 meter high flyover, which is on the Bhilai-Nandini road. Traffic can be seen on three different heights near this flyover… one road and two flyovers.
