Vishnudev Sai will inaugurate development works worth Rs 143 crore in Bilaspur on November 23
Raipur : On November 23, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai will gift many development works worth Rs 143 crore 68 lakh to Bilaspur. During the programs organized in Bilaspur, the Chief Minister will inaugurate Sakri Road, Minocha Road, Sports Complex, Mini Stadium, Multi-level Parking constructed near City Kotwali and Ram Setu Marg constructed on the banks of Arpa River. On this occasion, Shri Sai will participate in Raut Nacha Mahotsav at Lal Bahadur Shastri School.
Ram Sethu Road
Under the Arpa Utthan and Coast Enhancement Project, the road on the right side of the Arpa River has been named Ram Setu Marg. The cost of Ram Setu Marg is Rs 49 crore 98 lakh, which includes footpath, divider, street light, retaining wall, pitching and beautification work.
Mini Stadium
Bilaspur Smart City Limited has constructed a mini stadium at a cost of Rs 21 crore 79 lakh by beautifying the ground of the city’s old and prestigious government multipurpose higher secondary school, which has a fully equipped cricket ground of 14115 square meters with a spectator capacity of 850. There is a facility to play day-night matches here. Along with the facility to play indoor games like snooker, billiards, table tennis, squash, a modern gym has been built here. Apart from this, a training hall has been constructed. In this building, a separate VIP gallery, announcement box and pantry room have been built as well as a hostel for players coming from outside. Two lawn tennis courts have been built here.
Sports Complex
A sports complex has been constructed in Sanjay Taran Pushkar complex at a cost of Rs 14 crore 60 lakh. This three-storey sports complex will have parking in the basement, reception and restaurant on the ground floor. The first floor has facilities of badminton, squash court, table tennis, snooker, billiards, multipurpose hall, yoga, mat game on the second floor. There are many entertainment facilities on the third floor.
It is noteworthy that Bilaspur Smart City Limited has worked on three major projects to strengthen the sports infrastructure in the city, out of which the Pink Play Ground has already been inaugurated.
Kotwali Multilevel Parking
A three-storey multi-level car parking has been built in the Kotwali police station premises on three and a half acres at a cost of Rs 29 crore 76 lakh. Apart from the ground floor, parking facility has been provided on all floors in which 192 cars and 325 bikes can be parked simultaneously. The ground floor has been developed as a commercial complex in which 46 shops have been constructed.
Uslapur-Sankari Road
The Municipal Corporation has upgraded and widened 4.25 km of road from Uslapur Railway Overbridge to Sakri Bypass Chowk at a cost of Rs. 15 crore 87 lakh. Due to road widening and upgradation, pedestrians have got a lot of relief and have got freedom from traffic jam. Under the upgradation and widening, the width of the road has been increased, divider has been made, street lights and drains have also been constructed on both sides.
Other roads including Minocha Colony
The work includes asphalting, upgradation, signage, Minocha Colony Road and rotary of various roads of the city at a cost of 11 crore 68 lakhs, which mainly includes 800 meter road from Mahavir Nagar Chowk to Uslapur Over Bridge, divider, street light and rotary. The work includes asphalting, signage, road marking of various roads of the city.
