470 quintals of illegal rice being brought from Telangana seized

470 quintals of paddy was seized at the inter-state check post Patekohra in Rajnandgaon district. This paddy was being brought to Chhattisgarh from Telangana state by illegally transporting it. When the joint team of Food and Mandi Department officials investigated and found 470 quintals of paddy in two trucks at the Patekohra check post, it was found that this paddy was being brought from Telangana by illegal transportation. Food Officer Shri Ravindra Soni said that the team has seized the paddy loaded in both the trucks and handed it over to the police post Chichola. He said that the paddy was being taken to Saraipali and Raipur by illegal transportation.
