CM Congratulates Adv. Rahul Narwekar on His Unopposed Election as Assembly Speaker

The Chief Minister was speaking on the congratulatory motion following the unopposed election of Adv. Rahul Narwekar as Assembly Speaker.

CM Fadnavis remarked that only four individuals have previously had the honor of being re-elected as Speaker, and Adv. Narwekar now joins this distinguished group. The Speaker’s office is a neutral ground for all parties in the Assembly. Regardless of differences, members can always approach the Speaker with confidence. The Speaker listens to all sides, and this responsibility now rests with Adv. Narwekar. The Chief Minister emphasized that a robust opposition is a hallmark of a healthy democracy.

Discussions in the Legislature on issues affecting the common people strengthen democracy further. The House strives to deliver justice to the people of Maharashtra. CM Fadnavis expressed confidence that under Adv. Rahul Narwekar’s guidance, the Assembly would make impactful decisions in the public interest while upholding its traditions. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, speaking on the congratulatory motion, highlighted Adv.
