Lok Sabha Elections 2024: In Kejriwal’s absence, wife Sunita to join AAP’s poll campaign in Delhi

Sunita, the wife of AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal, will spearhead roadshows across the Lok Sabha constituencies being contested by AAP in Delhi.

Amidst Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s ongoing judicial custody until May 2, his wife, Sunita Kejriwal, is poised to take charge by leading roadshows across Delhi starting this weekend, according to party sources. This move signifies a significant boost for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as it aims to energize its campaign efforts despite Kejriwal’s absence following his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case last month. Sunita Kejriwal’s increased involvement underscores her emerging prominence within the party, stepping into a more visible role to drive AAP’s agenda forward.

Sunita, the chief minister’s wife, is slated to make her debut in a roadshow within the Kondli reserved assembly constituency, represented by Kuldeep Kumar, who is AAP’s candidate for the East Delhi Lok Sabha seat, during the upcoming weekend, as per a party insider. Her engagement will extend to roadshows across the remaining three Lok Sabha constituencies contested by AAP in Delhi. In Delhi, AAP, in coalition with Congress, is vying in the Lok Sabha elections, fielding candidates in East Delhi, West Delhi, South Delhi, and New Delhi seats, while Congress is contending North East Delhi, North West Delhi, and Chandni Chowk seats. Additionally, Sunita is slated to lend her support to AAP candidates in Gujarat and Punjab, as her name features among the star campaigners for Gujarat.
