Chambal Maha Aarti on the First Day of Kota Festival, Divine Ghats and Glimmering Sky
Jaipur : The first day of the Kota Festival began with the worship of Lord Ganapati, followed by the grand Chambal Maha Aarti in the evening, receiving the blessings of Mata Chambal and Sada Neera. On Monday evening, a magnificent Chambal Maha Aarti was organized at the Shaurya Ghat on the Chambal Riverfront. Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla performed the aarti, seeking blessings for the prosperity, happiness, and development of Kota, the state, and the nation.
On this occasion, classical music and sweet tunes made the atmosphere divine. The aarti of Chambal Mata was performed with the chanting of mantras by the renowned Pandit Shri Umakant Shastri and his group from Varanasi. With lamps in hand and the ghat glowing with rows of lights, the entire place came alive. After the aarti, a Deepdaan (offering of lamps) ceremony was also held, which made the entire environment spiritual and mesmerizing.
During the cultural evening on the riverfront, a Ganesh Vandana was presented, followed by a performance of the song “Kesariya Baalma” by a band. A special dance was performed in praise of Lord Shiva’s Chandrashekhar form. This program was organized by the Kota Grain and Seeds Merchant Association. Thousands of devotees gathered at Shaurya Ghat to witness the aarti, Deepdaan, and fireworks, making the event truly divine.
The Deepdaan ceremony at Shaurya Ghat, held alongside the Maha Aarti, was organized by Symphony Company. The glow of hundreds of lamps filled the Chambal River’s banks with divinity. Devotees offered lamps, expressing their devotion. A spectacular fireworks display was also held. The colorful fireworks added charm to the beauty of the ghat and further boosted the enthusiasm of the devotees.
Symphony Company’s performance made the Chambal Aarti even more special. Their sweet tunes and melodies filled the atmosphere with spiritual energy. Devotees described this event as a unique experience of devotion and cultural fusion. During the Chambal Mata Aarti, over a thousand lamps made from flour by women of self-help groups lit up. The Kota Grain and Seeds Merchant Association distributed nearly 10,000 electric lamps to the public, who used them for the Chambal Mata Aarti.
