Parle Festival Preserves Culture Amidst Modernity – CM Devendra Fadnavis

Mumbai : Pune is Maharashtra’s cultural capital, while Parle serves as its cultural sub-capital. The culture of Parle is beautiful, and the Parle Festival has successfully preserved culture amidst modernity, stated Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

CM Fadnavis was speaking during his visit to the Parle Festival in Vile Parle. Present on the occasion were festival organizer MLA Parag Alavani, President of the Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association Anil Ganu, Trustee of the Vile Parle Cultural Board Ajit Pendse, Principal of Sathe College Madhav Rajwade, Dr. Alka Mandke, Ajit Deshmukh, Arvind Prabhu, Sushama Sawant, and other dignitaries.

During the event, CM Fadnavis remarked that sports and cultural fields are essential as they shape the generations that build society and the nation. These fields foster sensitivity and sportsmanship in the new generation.

The Chief Minister further added that the Parle Festival is a cherished event for the residents of Parle, providing a platform for showcasing their talents in arts, sports, and other domains. Over the last 24–25 years, many participants of this festival have achieved prominence in various fields. Additionally, he assured that steps will be taken to examine and implement the renaming of a metro station in Vile Parle after Dr. Ramesh Prabhu and an overpass on the highway after Dr. Neetu Mandke.

On this occasion, MLA Parag Alavani spoke about the vision behind organizing the Parle Festival. The Chief Minister also distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions held during the festival.
