Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviews preparations at Prayagraj airport

Mahakumbh Nagar : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, during his visit to Prayagraj to review preparations for the Mahakumbh, inspected the arrangements and ongoing expansion work at Prayagraj Airport as well.

While on his way to the Subedarganj flyover, he stopped at the airport to conduct a thorough inspection and provided necessary guidance to the officials.

Expressing satisfaction with the progress, he instructed that all work at the airport must be completed by the first week of January. It is noteworthy that a significant number of visitors are expected to arrive in Prayagraj via the airport during the Mahakumbh. In response, large-scale enhancements to passenger facilities are being carried out under the Chief Minister’s directives.

Prayagraj Airport Director Mukesh Upadhyay shared that CM Yogi took time out of his schedule to personally review the Mahakumbh-related preparations at the airport.

He said, “The CM examined the improvements in the old terminal building and parking facilities, expressing satisfaction with the work completed so far. The Chief Minister also inspected the ongoing expansion of the new terminal and reviewed the comprehensive layout plan at the project site.”

He added, “Given the anticipated increase in passenger traffic starting January 13 with the Mahakumbh, the Chief Minister emphasized that all preparations should be finalized by early January.”

Mukesh Upadhyay assured that efforts are progressing rapidly, with a target to complete all work by December 31. He added that preparations are being executed on a war footing to ensure both day and night flight operations at the airport during the Mahakumbh.
