Guinness World Records Partners with Dubai Marathon for Record-Breaking Feats

The Dubai Marathon, slated for January 12, 2025, has partnered with Guinness World Records, offering participants an opportunity to set or break records during the event. This unique collaboration encourages runners to attempt creative and unconventional records, including running in costumes for charity, dribbling a basketball, running blindfolded, or competing as parent-child pairs in the fastest marathon categories.

Shaddy Gaad, Senior Marketing Manager at Guinness World Records, emphasized the initiative’s mission to inspire communities to embrace sports and strive for extraordinary achievements. Participants can register for record attempts free of charge and benefit from expedited approval processes. Dubai Marathon Event Director Peter Connerton highlighted the fun and inclusive spirit of the initiative while reminding participants that all fundraising-related record attempts must comply with UAE regulations.

The marathon will feature multiple categories, including the main race, the 10km Road Race, and the 4km Fun Run, with registration available online at dubaimarathon.org.
