Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde’s Shivsena Releases List Of 3 Candidates for Lok Sabha Elections
Lok Sabha 24 : Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena has released a list of three candidates for the Lok Sabha Elections, immediately after the BJP vacated its claim on the Mumbai South constituency, Thane, and Nashik. Eknath Shinde’s son and sitting MP, Shrikant Shinde, will be the party’s candidate from the Kalyan Lok Sabha Constituency. The party announced former mayor of Thane, Naresh Mhaske, for Thane, Dr. Shrikant Shinde for Kalyan, and Hemant Godse for Nashik. Dr. Shrikant and Godse are the sitting MPs. Mhaske, the former mayor of the city, will be in the fray against sitting Member of Parliament Rajan Vichare of Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray (UBT) Party. Shiv Sena UBT has announced Vaishali Darekar-Rane as the candidate from Kalyan.
Overall, Shinde has managed to exceed his party cadre’s expectations, securing more than what the BJP had originally planned to allocate him in seat-sharing. Henceforth, his task is to win as many seats as possible and prove his worth within the NDA.
The BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP are yet to announce candidates for the Palghar constituency. May 3rd is the deadline for filing nominations in these constituencies.
