Seizure Of Illegal Items And Government-Prohibited Goods In Kolasib

Kolasib :Inspections were carried out in various parts of Kolasib town, including its markets, to identify and seize illegal items and government-prohibited goods.

In connection with year-end celebrations and New Year preparations, an inquiry was conducted to check the presence of prohibited or illegal goods. Pu H. Lalramliana, MCS, SDO (Sadar) and Sub-Divisional Magistrate, in coordination with the Police and the YMA Joint Committee, organized searches across various market areas and locations. It was also noted that various items classified as government-prohibited were being sold, which were deemed harmful to individuals. Strict warnings were issued to ensure these activities do not continue.

For some time now, law enforcement authorities, the Police, and the YMA have been seizing items like illegal liquor, drugs, and dangerous firearms from Kolasib. A significant number of such items have already been confiscated, and several individuals have been apprehended in connection with these offenses.
