Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s vision of making India a developed nation by 2047. He emphasised that achieving this goal would require the collective efforts of the people of Haryana.

The Chief Minister was addressing devotees at the conclusion of a five-day Divya Gita Satsang held at the Police Lines Ground in Ambala City on Tuesday evening. The event was organised by the Sh. Krishan Kripa Gita Parivar. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also received blessings from Gita Manishi Swami Gyananand Maharaj and announced a contribution of Rs.11 lakh from his discretionary fund.

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the satsang, conducted under the guidance of Swami Gyananand Maharaj from December 27 to December 31, imparted the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita to the devotees. He proudly stated, we are fortunate that Lord Krishna delivered the timeless teachings of the Gita to Arjuna in Kurukshetra, Haryana only.

The Chief Minister said that the Haryana government is committed to spreading the Gita’s message across the world. As part of this initiative, the state organises the International Gita Jayanti Mahotsav in Kurukshetra. He said  that the International Gita Jayanti celebrations have been held in several countries, and this year, over 50 lakh people participated in the event in Kurukshetra, with lakhs more joining virtually.

He further said that the government is renovating 182 Mahabharata-era pilgrimage sites within the 48 kos region of Kurukshetra. Besides this, a state-of-the-art Jyotisar Anubhav Kendra and Museum, based on the Mahabharata theme, is being constructed at a cost of Rs.250 crore at the sacred site where Lord Krishna delivered the Gita’s teachings.

The Chief Minister also announced a significant budget increase for Haryana’s gaushalas, raising the allocation from Rs.40 crore to Rs.400 crore.

During the event, Gita Manishi Swami Gyananand Maharaj engaged the audience with Bhajan Bhav, emphasising that the Bhagavad Gita is both a Yog Shastra (spiritual) and  Prayoga Shastra (practical), offering solutions to life’s challenges. He prayed for happiness and prosperity for all in 2025.
