Mahakumbh Nagar : Mahakumbh 2025 trended on social media platforms this New Year’s eve on Tuesday with people across all age groups- from children to adults- sharing videos and reels of the event venue and activities.
Social media users, especially influencers, also shared reels and videos related to the event, creating a viral sensation online. The craze surrounding the Kumbh is growing at such a rapid pace that these videos and reels are quickly going viral.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have vowed to make Mahakumbh 2025 divine and grand, and massive preparations are underway in Prayagraj. Online payment companies are also jumping on the bandwagon to promote the grand Mahakumbh. This is reflected in their barcode scanners, which now feature branding for the event.
Companies like Paytm have distributed new barcode scanners to vendors, prominently displaying the “Bhavya Mahakumbh” branding in bold letters on the scanners.
The design includes images such as conch-blowing saints, temples, women bathing, tents, the Sangam, floating lamps in the Ganges, pontoon bridges, boats, traditional snacks like dahi-jalebi, and pilgrims taking selfies.
