Contractual appointment order of 18 medical teachers issued in Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College, Raipur

With the aim of improving health facilities in Chhattisgarh, 18 medical teachers have been appointed on contract basis for quality medical education at Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College, Raipur. It is noteworthy that for the first time so many contract medical teachers have been appointed at once in Medical College, Raipur. Dr. Rumi Kumar, Assistant Professor Obstetrics & Gynecology Department, Dr. Harshita Bhatia Assistant Professor Radiation Oncology, Dr. Kamalkant Sahu, Assistant Professor Forensic Medicine, Dr. Snigdha Kumari Assistant Professor (Cardiac Anesthesia) CTVS Department, Dr. Rachna Richie Pandey Assistant Professor (Oncology) Radiotherapy Department, Dr. Avinash Banjare (Oncology) Radiotherapy Department, Dr. Shruti Turkar Assistant Professor (Anesthesia) Critical Care, Dr. Sandhya Verma Senior Resident Pathology, Dr. Rabina Yadav Senior Resident Pathology Department, Dr. Princy Chaudhary Senior Resident Ophthalmology, Dr. Piyushi Sao Senior Resident Ophthalmology, Dr. Surabhi Choubey Senior Resident ENT, Dr. Parul Rathi Senior Resident ENT, Dr. Shubhangan Mishra Senior Resident Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dr. Neel Pasrija Senior Resident Orthopedics, Vinay Mishra Registrar Medical Physics, Anjum Mishra Registrar Medical Physics, Anurag Sanchay Kalkulewar Registrar Medical Physics have been appointed on contract as medical teachers.

On the instructions of the Health Minister, the process of appointment of 3 perfusionists and 3 physician assistants on contract basis is underway to start bypass surgery in the Department of Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery. Along with this, a total of 74 cleaning workers including 57 ward boys and 17 sweepers have also been appointed in Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Smriti Hospital, Raipur.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai is constantly taking initiatives to provide quality medical facilities in the state. Along with this, Chief Minister Shri Sai is also taking decisions with sensitivity for the safety of patients and their families. With these decisions, along with strengthening the security situation in the hospital, improvement in health facilities and studies of medical students is also being seen. In this connection, on the instructions of Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, 12 guards and 10 gunmen have also been deployed to strengthen the security system in the medical college and hospital premises.

It is noteworthy that on the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal had talked about deploying armed security personnel soon for the security of medical colleges and hospitals.
