Meeting on Preparations for the 76th Republic Day Celebrations – Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma

Jaipur : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma stated that the state-level ceremony for the 76th Republic Day will, as always, be organized this year with grandeur, joy, and traditional fervor. This year, the event will take place in the city of lakes, Udaipur. He urged all officials to fulfill their assigned responsibilities and work in coordination for the successful organization of the program.

On Tuesday, Mr. Sharma addressed a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence regarding the preparations for the state-level Republic Day celebrations. He emphasized that programs showcasing the spirit of nationalism should be included in the Republic Day ceremony and maximum public participation should be ensured.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to decorate all major buildings, landmarks, and government offices in the capital Jaipur, as well as prominent locations in Udaipur, in an attractive manner for Republic Day. He also directed that proper arrangements be made for sending invitations to guests attending the state-level Republic Day ceremony, along with their travel, accommodation, and meals. Further, he called for all necessary arrangements for the “At Home” events to be held at the Raj Bhavan in Jaipur and Saheliyon Ki Bari in Udaipur.

Mr. Sharma instructed officials to ensure timely completion of preparations at the ceremony venue, including seating arrangements for visitors, drinking water, medical teams, security, barricading, and traffic management. He emphasized smooth arrangements for school children’s performances, presentations by folk artists, and the awards distribution ceremony. Officials from police, education, public works, information and public relations, and other departments were directed to work in coordination and fulfill their respective responsibilities. Additionally, he instructed ensuring tight security at all locations.

In the meeting, Secretary of General Administration Jogaram presented an outline of the preparations for the state-level Republic Day celebration through a presentation.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant, Director General of Police U.R. Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary (Chief Minister’s Office) Shikhar Agarwal, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Anand Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary (Public Works) Praveen Gupta, Principal Secretary (Chief Minister’s Office) Alok Gupta, along with senior officials from education, information and public relations, tourism, and Jaipur district administration. High-ranking officials from Udaipur district administration also participated via video conference.
