Chief Secretary Pu Khilli Ram Meena Visits Serchhip

Serchhip : Mizoram Chief Secretary Pu Khilli Ram Meena visited Serchhip District today. A crucial meeting with government officials from Serchhip District was held at the DC Office Pisapui Hall.

During the meeting, the Chief Secretary emphasized the importance of efficiently implementing various government schemes and programs in the district. He highlighted the need for diligent efforts in key areas such as healthcare, education, and development projects. Pu Meena also urged officials to address challenges faced by local communities and work collaboratively to resolve them promptly.

The Chief Secretary reiterated that serving the public remains the primary responsibility of government employees. He stressed the importance of inter-departmental coordination and effective performance to ensure timely and successful completion of developmental initiatives. Noting Serchhip District’s distinction as having one of the highest literacy rates in India, Pu Meena encouraged youth and educated individuals to actively contribute to economic and professional growth. He also called for efforts to maintain Serchhip’s momentum as a role model district through the successful implementation of the Mizoram Government’s flagship Handholding Policy.

Deputy Commissioner Pu Paul L Khuma provided an overview of Serchhip District’s current situation and developmental progress. He detailed ongoing efforts by various government departments and highlighted achievements as well as challenges faced by the district. A presentation using PowerPoint was made to further illustrate these points.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Pu MS Dawngkima reported on law enforcement activities within Serchhip District. He discussed the status of police operations, the functioning of outposts and checkpoints, and efforts to uphold law and order in the region.

In the afternoon meeting, which saw full participation of the Heads of Offices in Serchhip District, discussions focused on departmental initiatives and collaborative measures. The session provided an opportunity for departments to share updates and receive valuable guidance.
