CM Pu Lalduhoma accords a warm reception to the Governor-Designate Gen. (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd.) at Lengpui Airport

Aizawl : The Governor-Designate of Mizoram, Gen. (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd.) and First Lady-Designate of Mizoram Pi Bharti Singh were accorded a warm reception on their arrival by the Chief Minister of Mizoram Pu Lalduhoma with great honour and gratitude at Lengpui Airport in Aizawl at 2:30 PM today. 

The welcoming ceremony at Lengpui Airport was attended by Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma and his wife Pi Liansailovi, Speaker Pu Lalbiakzama, Home Minister Pu K. Sapdanga, Chief Secretary Pu Khilli Ram Meena, DGP Pu Anil Shukla, Pu V. Lalsangliana, IAS, Secretary to the Governor, Brig. Girish Upadhya, SM, VSM, Sector Commander of 23 Sector, Assam Rifles, Er. Lalhriatpuia, Deputy Commissioner of Aizawl, Pu Rex Zarzoliana Vanchhawng, Superintendent of Police, Aizawl and other important dignitaries. 

Following this, a reception was also held at Raj Bhavan in Aizawl at 4:00 PM, where Health Minister Pi Lalrinpuii, Rural Development Minister Prof. Lalnilawma, Sports Minister Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar and Raj Bhavan staff formally welcomed the Governor-Designate and First Lady-Designate of Mizoram. 

As per the schedule, tomorrow, January 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM, Gauhati High Court Chief Justice Vijay Bishnoi will administer the oath of office to Gen. (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd.) as the 25th Governor of Mizoram at the Circular Lawn, Raj Bhavan here in Aizawl.
