“If Congress comes, it will run a ‘bulldozer’ over the Ram temple in Ayodhya” : PM Modi.

Lok Sabha 24 : Barabanki : Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a powerful statement, criticized the Congress and the I.N.D.I. alliance, warning that if the Congress were to regain power, they would overturn the Supreme Court’s decision on the Ram temple. He said that the Congress would not just oppose but ‘bulldoze’ the Ram temple.

Addressing a large election rally near Zaidpur Marg on Friday, PM Modi advised the I.N.D.I. alliance to learn from CM Yogi Adityanath ‘where to run bulldozers.’ “They should take tuition from Yogi ji, where to run a bulldozer and where you shouldn’t,” he remarked.

He highlighted that the power of a single vote ended a 500-year wait and established Shri Ram Lalla in the grand Ram Temple. Taking a dig at the opposition, PM Modi said, “When people saw Ram Lalla in a temporary tent, they abused the government.”

The Prime Minister praised Yogi Adityanath’s One District, One Product (ODOP) mission, expressing, “Thanks to Yogi Ji’s ODOP mission, I no longer have to worry about purchasing gifts while going abroad.” He also mentioned that Yogi’s ‘cleanliness campaign’ in Uttar Pradesh had fostered a favourable investment environment.

The Prime Minister stated that the Congress party granted OBC reservations to Muslims in Karnataka overnight. He emphasized that he never pits Hindus against Muslims but highlights the misdeeds of the I.N.D.I alliance as part of the historical context.

Starting his speech in Awadhi, the Prime Minister said, “‘Hum aapke karja ma doob gayan’ (We are indebted to you) and I vow to repay this debt through diligent work.”

He said the BJP will score a ‘hat-trick’ by winning three consecutive Lok Sabha elections. Criticizing the I.N.D.I Alliance, he said, “As the election progresses, these I.N.D.I people have started to scatter like a deck of cards.” Criticizing the SP, PM Modi remarked, “The ‘Samajwadi prince’ has found refuge under a ‘new aunt’. This new aunt is in West Bengal. And this aunty has told I.N.D.I Alliance that I will support you but from outside,” the PM added.

Addressing the public, the Prime Minister said, “In the new government, I have to make many big decisions for the poor, youth, women, and farmers. That’s why I have come to seek blessings from the people of Barabanki and Mohanlalganj.” He continued, “Today, on one side, you have the alliance of BJP and NDA dedicated to the country’s interest. On the other hand, the I.N.D.I Alliance is in the field to create instability in the country.”

In a sharp critique of the opposition, Prime Minister Modi remarked, “See the extent of their dreams. One Congress leader said that the people of Raebareli will elect the PM, ‘ye sunte hi Samajwadi shehzade ka dil hi toot gya bas aansoon nahi nikle, lekin dil ke saare armaan beh gaye’.”

The Prime Minister urged voters not to waste their votes on a ‘ridiculous Khichdi’ coalition. He emphasized that a BJP MP would bring beneficial schemes from Delhi and Lucknow, whereas an MP from the opposition alliance would be more focused on criticizing him. Modi stated that the people need an MP who will focus on developing the area rather than hurling insults. Therefore, he said, the only viable option is to vote for the BJP (‘Only Kamal’). He specifically called for the victory of Rajrani Rawat from Barabanki and Kaushal Kishore from Mohanlalganj at every polling booth.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the impact of a strong government is visible, while a weak government has no future. He explained that a weak government’s primary focus is to keep itself afloat. PM Modi noted that the Awadh region understands the benefits of a strong BJP government.

Addressing young first-time voters, he reminded them of the 500-year struggle and sacrifices made by their ancestors, culminating in the historic establishment of a grand temple for Ram Lalla. He attributed this achievement not to himself but to the power of their votes. He urged voters to press the button for the lotus symbol to ensure the formation of a strong government capable of taking decisive action in the future.

Accusing the opposition, Prime Minister Modi remarked, “The members of Congress and the Samajwadi Party (SP) initially moved Ram Lalla to a tent and then proposed building a Dharamshala, school, or hospital instead of the temple to appease their vote bank.”

He accused Congress of wanting to overturn the court’s decision on the Ram temple. He urged people not to be deceived, as this is consistent with their history. The Prime Minister warned the public: “If the SP and Congress came to power, they would return Ram Lalla to the tent and bulldoze the temple.”

The Prime Minister highlighted that during the drafting of the Constitution, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar staunchly opposed religious-based reservations, a stance echoed by his ancestors. “All the Muslims in Karnataka were converted into OBC overnight. Will you allow them to usurp the rights of SC, ST, and OBC communities?”

The PM said that the champions of the fodder scam in Bihar, who have been punished by the court, are now roaming free under the guise of health concerns, advocating for full reservation for Muslims.

He accused the SP and Congress of capitulating to appeasement politics. “When Modi exposes their dishonesty and communalism, revealing their conversion of Hindus to Muslims, it’s twisted to claim that Modi converts Hindus to Muslims. Modi does this to enlighten the nation about their history of wrongdoing.”

The PM looked at the opposition and said, “These people exhibit anti-constitutional, anti-Dalit, and anti-backwards sentiments.” He highlighted the restoration of the Constitution’s applicability in Jammu and Kashmir following the removal of Article 370, which granted Dalits their rightful status.

He added, “Recently, under the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), refugees began receiving citizenship, eliciting celebrations. Previously, their plight went unnoticed. Notably, a significant portion of the beneficiaries hails from Dalit and backward communities, yet the SP and Congress oppose this.”

The Prime Minister condemned the SP and Congress for their track record of disrespecting Dalits in Uttar Pradesh, contrasting their behaviour with his administration’s commitment to upholding the Constitution. He praised the BJP government’s decision to confer the Padma award upon farmer Ramsharan Verma from Barabanki, honoring his contributions.

In contrast, he criticized the Congress for demeaning leaders like Beni Babu, with the SP remaining conspicuously silent. Beni Babu dedicated his life to serving the nation and society but has faced disrespect from the Congress and SP.

PM Modi emphasized the BJP’s commitment to the inclusive mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas,’ ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach all citizens without bias.

He contrasted this approach with the discriminatory practices observed during SP’s governance, where even access to electricity was reserved for those doing ‘Vote Jihad’. He noted that the public has become increasingly aware of the pitfalls of vote bank politics, signalling a shift towards a more nationalistic ethos beyond mere electoral considerations.

Drawing parallels between the principles of governance and the ideals embodied in Lord Ram’s actions, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of a holistic approach, encapsulated in the notion of ‘Rashtrakaj’ or national service. “Ramkaaj se aage ab Rashtrakaaj ke liye samay aa gaya hai. Ramkaaj se Rashtrakaj ki prerna milti hai.’”

He shared how a humble gift of a ‘Gamcha’ had gained significant popularity, symbolizing the recognition of indigenous products promoted through initiatives like the ODOP mission led by Yogi Adityanath in Uttar Pradesh.

Having received a Geographical Indication (GI) tag, this initiative has made it easier for him to select meaningful gifts directly from the ODOP website during his international visits.

The PM stated, “I’ve been working since 2014, spearheading the cleanliness campaign. Due to cleanliness, a conducive investment environment has been fostered in UP. People are now prepared to invest confidently in the state.”

On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister Anupriya Patel, Kaushal Kishore, State Government Minister Satish Chandra Sharma etc. were present.
