The government has also directed that the national flag should be hoisted at all government and public buildings, forts, and historical sites across the state on Republic Day. Strict adherence to flag etiquette, as per government circulars dated March 2, 1991, December 5, 1991, and March 11, 1998, is mandatory.

All government officials and employees are expected to be present at the ceremonies. Those attending should wear formal national attire appropriate for the occasion. Invitations should also be extended to local representatives, freedom fighters, and families of martyred soldiers. Efforts will be made to live-stream the event on official websites so that citizens can witness the celebrations from their homes. These instructions have been conveyed through the circular.
