Gautam Adani Attends Maha Kumbh, Offers Prayers at Triveni Sangam

Prayagraj: Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, accompanied by his family, visited the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj on Tuesday. This grand event, recognized as the world’s largest religious gathering, commenced on January 13 and will conclude on February 26.

Mr. Adani, along with his wife, Priti Adani, Chairperson of the Adani Foundation, and their son, Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and SEZ Limited, offered prayers at the Triveni Sangam, the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers. The family also participated in community activities, including a visit to the ISKCON temple camp, where Mr. Adani personally assisted in cooking Mahaprasad (sacred meals).

The Adani Group has partnered with ISKCON to provide free meals to devotees for the entire duration of the Maha Kumbh Mela. This act of service aligns with the group’s ongoing commitment to community welfare. Speaking to reporters, Mr. Adani expressed gratitude towards the Uttar Pradesh administration, sanitation workers, and police for their exceptional management of the event, which is expected to draw over 40 crore devotees.

“My experience at Prayagraj Maha Kumbh was truly wonderful. The management here deserves recognition and could serve as a case study for management institutes. Nothing compares to the blessings of Maa Ganga,” Mr. Adani remarked.

Further highlighting his group’s contributions, Mr. Adani announced a collaboration with Gita Press to distribute one crore free copies of Aarti Sangraha among devotees. Sharing this initiative on social media, he called the Maha Kumbh a “great yagya of Indian culture and religious faith.”

Reflecting on his visit, Mr. Adani lauded the century-long service of Gita Press in promoting Sanatan Sahitya (eternal literature) and emphasized the importance of selfless service. “Seva is meditation, seva is prayer, and seva is God,” he stated, reiterating his commitment to preserving India’s cultural and religious heritage.

Through its contributions and active participation, the Adani Group has exemplified its dedication to supporting the Maha Kumbh’s spiritual and cultural significance.
