Tamil Nadu CM M.K. Stalin Inaugurates New Revenue Department Offices and Residences

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated two newly constructed Revenue Department office buildings and 25 revenue officer residences, built at a cost of ₹16.06 crore. The inauguration ceremony took place today (January 29, 2025), with the CM overseeing the launch of these facilities as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen administrative infrastructure.

These projects include two taluk office buildings in Mayiladuthurai and Nagapattinam districts, constructed at ₹8.58 crore, and 25 residential quarters for revenue officers in multiple locations, built at ₹7.47 crore. The government aims to enhance the efficiency of revenue administration, disaster management, and the implementation of welfare schemes through such initiatives.

The Revenue Department plays a crucial role in governance, particularly in providing relief during floods, cyclones, and other disasters. To support its functions, the Tamil Nadu government has undertaken the construction of modern office buildings and staff quarters across various districts, ensuring improved working conditions for officials.

Key officials present at the event included Revenue and Disaster Management Minister K.K.S.S.R. Ramachandran, Principal Secretary N. Muruganandam, and other senior government representatives. Additionally, local MLAs, district collectors, and municipal officials participated in the ceremony.

The Tamil Nadu government remains committed to infrastructure development, strengthening public administration, and ensuring the welfare of citizens through well-equipped government facilities.
