“Priyanka Gandhi performed folk dance in Jharkhand”
Lok Sabha 24 : Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is currently touring various constituencies as part of the Congress election campaign, appealing for votes in support of Indian National Congress (INC) candidates. There has been an increase in the number of Lok Sabha seats in all states, including Jharkhand, where voting is scheduled for the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was seen on the streets of Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. During this time, she endeavored to connect with the local people through folk dance. Sharing a video of the folk dance in Ranchi, she fondly remembered her grandmother, former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
Sharing a video of her visit to Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, on Wednesday, Priyanka Gandhi made a significant statement about the veteran Congress leader and former Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. She posted the video on social media, along with the message, “My grandmother, Indira Gandhi, used to say that the best culture in the world is that of tribal people, who worship nature and protect it in every way. Today in Ranchi, we can witness the vibrant hues of folk culture.”
After her cultural engagement in Ranchi, Priyanka Vadra also addressed a public meeting in Godda, located 300 km from the city. From the stage, the Congress leader launched a scathing attack on the BJP, claiming that the present central government wants to amend the constitution and abolish reservation. In her social media post, Priyanka Gandhi wrote, “My grandmother, Indira Gandhi, used to say that the best culture in the world is that of the tribals, who worship nature and protect it in every way. Today in Ranchi, we can witness the diverse colors of folk culture.”
Vadra emphasized the importance of reservation for the development of marginalized communities, stating, “Hemant Soren, who championed the cause of tribal society and Jharkhand, was imprisoned before the elections. Meanwhile, BJP leaders are consistently advocating for constitutional amendments. By doing so, they aim to deprive tribals of their rights.” Priyanka further stated on social media, “We will not compromise on the rights of Dalits, backward classes, and the underprivileged, under any circumstances.”
