This year, the festival will be held at a new venue, where rapid construction is underway to ensure adequate facilities for devotees. A crucial meeting was held today at Rajim Circuit House, attended by Raipur Division Commissioner Mahadev Kavre, Tourism Board MD Vivek Acharya, Gariaband Collector Deepak Agrawal, and senior officials from Dhamtari and Raipur districts. Following the meeting, officials inspected the new venue and reviewed the progress of the arrangements.

Rajim Kumbh Kalp, often referred to as the ‘Prayagraj of Chhattisgarh,’ is one of the most prominent spiritual and cultural gatherings in the state. The event is held from Magh Purnima to Mahashivratri and attracts saints, devotees, and tourists from across the country. This year, it will take place from February 12 to February 26, 2025.

Commissioner Kavre directed officials to ensure a grand and well-organized event, emphasizing inter-departmental coordination to complete all works by February 5. He instructed the rapid completion of the main stage, stalls, departmental kiosks, Meena Bazaar, food zones, and other essential structures. Additionally, large-scale parking facilities are being developed, and a helipad is under construction to facilitate smooth transportation for devotees and dignitaries.

Officials have been tasked with road construction along the riverbank, connecting Ganga Aarti Sthal to the new fairground. The venue will be equipped with high-mast lights, adequate toilets, dustbins, and other amenities. Security measures include a control room, CCTV cameras, dedicated bus services, ambulances, medical teams, and health services for the visitors. Facilities such as huts for saints, firewood supplies, drinking water pipelines, and Dal-Bhat centers are also being arranged. Additionally, police forces, CCTV surveillance, and fire safety teams will be deployed to ensure safety.

Following the meeting, Commissioner Kavre, Tourism Board MD Acharya, and Collector Agrawal inspected the main stage, VIP parking, general parking, Meena Bazaar, food zone, control room, pathways, and the helipad site. They also reviewed the development of Rajiv Lochan Temple, the saint congregation site, and the Ganga Aarti route, instructing their rapid completion.

Rajim Kumbh Kalp is not just a religious event but also a significant platform for cultural heritage and tourism. The festival will feature royal baths, saint congregations, discourses, Ganga Aarti, and various cultural performances. With millions of devotees expected to attend, the administration is working diligently to make this historic and grand celebration a resounding success.
