Madhya Pradesh is the torchbearer of cultural unity of the country: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, while addressing students from the northeastern states participating in the Bharat Ekta Yatra, stated that Madhya Pradesh embodies the unity and integrity of the nation, not just geographically but also culturally. Highlighting the state’s rich cultural heritage and spirit of patriotism, he encouraged the students to respect India’s diversity and embrace its cultural values. He emphasized that Madhya Pradesh is renowned for its unique diversity and vibrant traditions, where people from different regions, communities, and linguistic backgrounds live in harmony. Madhya Pradesh serves as a custodian of the nation’s glorious history and culture, upholding the values of patriotism, national defense, and honour.

The student group from the northeastern states, who came on the Rashtrua Ekatma Yatra-2025 organized by Student Experience in Inter-State Living (SEIL) for the purpose of cultural exchange, was given a warm welcome in Madhya Pradesh. This yatra started on 22 January and is continuing till 13 February, in which the students from the northeastern states are visiting different parts of the country.

The group of students from the northeastern states is on a tour of Madhya Pradesh from February 1 to 5. The group paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav at his residence on Monday. During the interaction, Dr. Yadav listened to the students’ experiences, addressed their queries, and introduced them to the rich and harmonious culture of Madhya Pradesh. The Chief Minister warmly welcomed the students to Madhya Pradesh, the heart of India, and wished them a memorable stay. He highlighted Bhopal’s fame for its picturesque lakes and natural beauty, describing it as a unique capital where tigers can even be spotted near the roadside at night, thanks to the nearby Ratapani Wildlife Sanctuary. Dr. Yadav encouraged the students to explore key attractions such as the Tribal Museum, the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, Van Vihar National Park, and other notable tourist destinations.

After taking a group photo with the Chief Minister, the students described this visit as an unforgettable experience. They shared that it was their first time meeting the Chief Minister of a state, a moment they will always cherish. They particularly appreciated the rich cultural heritage of Madhya Pradesh, its historical landmarks, and warm hospitality.

The purpose of organizing the Inter-State Chhaatra Darshan Jeevan Yatra is to strengthen the unity and integrity of the nation, with special efforts to introduce the youth to the country’s rich diversity. The Rashtriya Ekta Yatra is a significant initiative aimed at uniting Indian youth and fostering a spirit of mutual understanding and brotherhood. This student group from the North-Eastern states consists of 30 participants, including 28 students and 2 coordinators, currently on a tour across various states of India. The group includes two students each from Assam, Nagaland, and Sikkim; four each from Tripura, Mizoram, and Arunachal Pradesh; and five each from Manipur and Meghalaya.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav presented a shawl, Madhya Pradesh Government diary, calendar and a special gift as a souvenir to all the students and coordinators. Shri Shivam Jat, Shri Chetas Sukhadia, Shri Rohit Dubey, Shri Deepak Paliwal, Shri Kaman Siboh, Shri Rahul Mog along with other students and citizens were present in the programme.
