Dr. Mamasahib Jagdale’s 122nd Birth Anniversary Celebrated; Governor Honors Raghunath Mashelkar & Anil Kakodkar

Jaipur – Governor Shri Haribhau Bagde stated that true honor is reserved for those who dedicate themselves not just to their personal well-being but to the greater good of society and the nation. Such individuals attain greatness and are revered.
On Wednesday, at the 122nd birth anniversary celebration of Karmaveer Dr. Mamasahib Jagdale, the founder of Shri Shivaji Shikshan Prasarak Mandal in Barshi, Maharashtra, Padma Vibhushan awardees Shri Raghunath Mashelkar and Shri Anil Kakodkar were honored with the Karmaveer Dr. Mamasahib Jagdale Social Transformation Award.
Highlighting their significant contributions, the Governor said that Dr. Mashelkar is a distinguished expert in polymer science and engineering, whose efforts have greatly contributed to India’s healthcare and innovation sectors. Similarly, Padma Vibhushan Anil Kakodkar has made remarkable contributions to nuclear energy and defense services, serving as a key member of India’s nuclear research team. Honoring such individuals inspires others to contribute to the nation.
Remembering the legacy of Govindrao Jagdale, Karmaveer Dr. Mamasahib, the Governor praised his efforts in establishing Shri Shivaji Boarding in Barshi to provide education for underprivileged children. He dedicated his life to social service, education for the poor, and healthcare for common people. Honoring such a visionary leader encourages others to pursue knowledge and contribute to the nation’s progress.
The Governor urged everyone to adopt the ideals of Karmaveer Dr. Mamasahib Jagdale and make continuous efforts to serve society. Paying homage to his memory, he called upon people to follow his principles in their lives.
