A New Health Unit for Railway Employees opened at Berhampore Court Railway Station.

Vide a Press Release Eastern Railways has reiterated their continued endeavour towards benchmarking the Wellness Quotient of their employees.

A new health unit dedicated to the well-being of railway employees and their families was inaugurated at Berhampore Court station on 12.02.2025. The facility will serve the needs of a large number of railway personnel and their families residing in Berhampore Court station and the surrounding areas.

The Inauguration ceremony was graced by Principal Chief Medical Director of Eastern Railway, Dr.  Aniruddha Kirtaniya in the August presence of Divisional Railway Manager, Sealdah Mr. Deepak Nigam along with Chief Medical Superintendent, Mrs. Kalpana Mandal. Their presence has glorified the commitment of the railway administration to the health and welfare of employees, their family and wards and also for retired employees.

The new health unit is equipped with state-of-the-art medical facilities and will be monitored by qualified medical professionals. It will provide a range of healthcare services, including primary care, preventive care, and specialist consultations. The facility also has provisions for emergency medical assistance. The primary objective of this establishment is to provide comprehensive primary healthcare, all within the comfort of their own neighborhood.

Mr. Nigam DRM of Sealdah expressed his gratitude to the PCMD and his team for their efforts in setting up the health unit. The inauguration of the new health unit was met with utmost enthusiasm of the railway employees and their families. They expressed their appreciation for the initiative and said that it would greatly benefit them.

The health unit is expected to serve as a model to emulate. It demonstrates the commitment of the railway administration to the health and well-being of its employees, which is crucial for the efficient functioning of the organisation.
