Lawipu Local Council Election Held

The Lawipu Local Council election, under the jurisdiction of Aizawl Municipal Council, was held today. Voting began at 7:00 AM and continued until 4:00 PM. The total voter turnout was 61.79%.

In the Lawipu Local Council area, there are 1,149 registered voters (527 males and 622 females). By 4:00 PM, a total of 710 voters (314 males and 396 females) had cast their votes. (The final voter turnout report is yet to be released.)
