The resources of the District Mineral Foundation should be prioritized for use in tribal-dominated districts: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that the tribal-dominated districts of the state are rich in mineral resources. Development activities under the District Mineral Foundation should be prioritized in these districts. Infrastructure development should be determined based on the needs and conditions of each district.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized on need to develop a helipad in all districts to ensure better disaster and emergency management. He also directed that necessary arrangements are needed for sports infrastructure in districts that do not have stadiums.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav presided over a meeting regarding the District Mineral Foundation at the Chief Minister’s residence. He stressed that health care, drinking water, education, skill development, and environmental protection should be given top priority under the District Mineral Foundation. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav instructed to development of a model for each district focussed on constructing better panchayat buildings, educational institution premises, and hospital complexes equipped with essential facilities.
Directing the preparation of concept plans for all assembly constituencies, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized increasing the MLAs’ participation in determining development activities. He also stressed ensuring balanced development across all districts using the resources available in the District Mineral Foundation.
The meeting was attended by the Principal Secretary of Minerals, Mr. Umakant Umrao, Principal Secretary of Planning, Economics & Statistics, Mr. Sanjay Shukla, Principal Secretary of Finance, Mr. Manish Rastogi, and other officials.
