Mahalakshmi Saras Festival Adds Glamour with Marathi Film Industry’s Presence
Mumbai : The Mahalakshmi Saras festival at BKC, Bandra East, is showcasing a grand confluence of Maharashtra’s rich handicrafts, delectable traditional cuisine, and the finest products of rural entrepreneurs. Adding to the grandeur of the event was the special presence of renowned actresses from the Marathi and Hindi film industries.
The Mahalakshmi Saras Sales and Exhibition – 2025 is organized under the Umed – Maharashtra State Rural Livelihood Mission, by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, from February 11 to February 23 at the Bandra-Kurla Complex.

The event witnessed a star-studded evening with the presence of Marathi film industry’s leading actresses, Prajakta Mali and Bhargavi Chirmule, alongside popular Hindi-Marathi actress Karishma Tanna. The stars visited various innovative stalls, interacted with rural entrepreneurs, and relished authentic rural delicacies.
Exclusive Teaser Launch of “Gaav Bolavato”
The highly anticipated teaser of the Marathi film “Gaav Bolavato”, set to release on March 7, was unveiled on the grand stage of Mahalakshmi Saras. The teaser was launched via AV play by Umed Mission’s Chief Executive Officer, Nilesh Sagar.
The event was further graced by the presence of film director Vinod Manikrao, producers Prashant Madhukar Narode and Shantanu Shrikant Bhake, along with lead actors Bhushan Pradhan, Shrikant Yadav, and Kiran Sharad. Additionally, Umed Mission’s Deputy Secretary, Dhanwant Mali, also attended the grand occasion.
