1st Inter-College Arm Wrestling Competition Successfully Organized

Aizawl : The 1st Inter-College Arm Wrestling Competition was successfully organized on 14th February 2025 at Govt. T. Romana College Ground under the theme “Empowering Youth to be Fit, Fierce, and Drug-Free.” The event was jointly hosted by Govt. T. Romana College and the Mizoram Arm Wrestling Association. Pu Lalramsanga Sailo, Secretary, Sports & Youth Services, Excise & Narcotics Department, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Addressing the gathering, Pu Lalramsanga Sailo urged college students to develop self-discipline, maintain physical and mental fitness, and strive for excellence. He emphasized that such competitions play a vital role in fostering perseverance and determination among youth.

In her speech, Dr. Jenifer Lalbiakdiki, Principal of Govt. T. Romana College, expressed her appreciation for the event, stating that the primary objective of the Arm Wrestling Competition was to encourage students to stay away from substance abuse and promote a healthier lifestyle.

The 1st Inter-College Arm Wrestling Competition featured four weight categories, with a total of 56 participants representing 10 colleges from across Mizoram.

As part of the event, a substance abuse awareness program was also conducted. Pi Zothantluangi Chenhrang, Inspector, Excise & Narcotics Department, delivered an insightful awareness session. Additionally, Reserve Bank of India and TATA AIA organized an awareness campaign during the program.

🥉 Bronze: Vanlalchuana (Pachhunga University College)

B) 70 Kg Category:

🏅 Gold: C. Malsawmtluanga (Govt. T. Romana College)
🥈 Silver: Lalbiakdika (Lunglei Govt. College)
🥉 Bronze: Daniel Vanlalpeka (Pachhunga University College)

C) 80 Kg Category:

🏅 Gold: Laldingliana (Govt. T. Romana College)
🥈 Silver: Michael Lalduhsaka (Govt. T. Romana College)
🥉 Bronze: Richard Vanlalrochama (Govt. J. Thankima College)

D) Above 80 Kg Category:

🏅 Gold: Lalthlanpuia (Govt. T. Romana College)
🥈 Silver: Biakrempuia (Pachhunga University College)
🥉 Bronze: C. Lalruatfela (Govt. T. Romana College)
