Kumbh Mela Symbolizes Social Unity – CM Devendra Fadnavis
Nagpur – The grand Kumbh Mela, showcasing the essence of Sanatan culture, is underway in Prayagraj. Such a magnificent spiritual gathering cannot be witnessed anywhere else in the world. For thousands of years, this confluence has represented human civilization and culture. Devotees, setting aside caste, language, and sectarian differences, come together at the Kumbh Mela, making it a true symbol of social unity, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
CM Fadnavis was speaking at the ‘Maha Kumbh Prayag Yoga’ event organized at Reshimbagh Ground in Nagpur. The event was attended by The Satsang Foundation Nagpur Center President, retired Justice Sunil Shukre, Rajesh Loya, Amey Mete, and other dignitaries. More than 50 crore devotees have taken a holy dip in the Kumbh Mela so far. For those who could not travel to the Kumbh, sacred water from the Sangam in Prayagraj was brought to Nagpur. The ‘Maha Kumbh Prayag Yoga’ program was organized to facilitate this spiritual experience, CM Fadnavis stated.
Over the years, millions of devotees have performed the holy ritual bath at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj during the Maha Kumbh. However, for those unable to travel, sacred water from the Sangam was brought to Nagpur via Ramtek. This initiative was undertaken to provide devotees with a spiritual experience akin to bathing in the holy waters of the Sangam, leading to the organization of the ‘Maha Kumbh Prayag Yoga’ event.
