Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar Pays Tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on Shiv Jayanti

“It is Maharashtra’s fortune that a visionary leader like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was born on this land. Maharashtra’s journey has always been guided by his ideals,” says Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

Mumbai : “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj united the Mavalas from the valleys of the Sahyadris and established a people’s kingdom, setting an unparalleled example of a welfare state. He awakened Maharashtra’s pride, instilled the courage to conquer beyond the Attock, and dared to challenge the throne of Delhi,” said Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in a heartfelt tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on the occasion of Shiv Jayanti.

In his message, the Deputy Chief Minister stated, “The Maharashtra pride awakened by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has been safeguarded by every generation over the past four centuries, even at the cost of their lives. The credit for instilling this deep sense of pride among the people of Maharashtra goes entirely to Shivaji Maharaj’s remarkable deeds, courage, valor, and vision. It is our great fortune that such a legendary leader was born in Maharashtra, and our state has always followed his path. It shall continue to do so in the future as well.”

He also paid homage to Shahaji Raje Bhosale, the visionary behind Swarajya; Rajmata Jijau, the mother of the kingdom; and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the second ruler of Swarajya. Extending his warm wishes to the people of Maharashtra, he expressed his hope that the joy of Shiv Jayanti resonates in every home and heart across the state.
