State Legislature’s Budget Session from March 3 in Mumbai; Budget Presentation on March 10

Mumbai : The Budget Session of the Maharashtra State Legislature will be held in Mumbai from Monday, March 3, to Wednesday, March 26, 2025. The state budget will be presented on March 10 in both houses of the legislature.
A meeting of the Business Advisory Committees of the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council was held today at Vidhan Bhavan, Mumbai, where discussions were held regarding the session’s proceedings.
The meeting was attended by Legislative Council Chairman Prof. Ram Shinde, Assembly Speaker Adv. Rahul Narwekar, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chandrakant Patil, along with ministers Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Girish Mahajan, Shambhuraj Desai, and legislators Prasad Lad, Praveen Darekar, Adv. Anil Parab, Hemant Patil, Shrikant Bharatiya, Chhagan Bhujbal, Jitendra Awhad, Dr. Nitin Raut, Randhir Savarkar, and Amin Patel. Also present were Legislature Secretaries Jitendra Bhole and Vilas Athavale, along with officials from relevant departments. Legislative Council Deputy Chairperson Dr. Neelam Gorhe participated via video conferencing.
During the session, legislative proceedings will continue on Saturday, March 8, despite it being a public holiday. However, March 13 has been declared a holiday for Holi, as decided in the meeting.
