Investment of ₹4,000 Crore and 500 Job Opportunities: CM M.K. Stalin Inaugurates CtrlS Data Center in Ambattur

Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M.K. Stalin, inaugurated the CtrlS Chennai Data Center, established in Ambattur with an investment of ₹4,000 crore, creating job opportunities for 500 people. The inauguration took place today (25.02.2025) at a ceremony held at ITC Grand Chola Hotel.

Tamil Nadu, recognized as India’s second-largest economic state, aims to achieve a one-trillion-dollar economy by 2030 under the Chief Minister’s vision. To achieve this goal, the Tamil Nadu government continues to take proactive steps to attract investments. As a key hub for data centers in India, Tamil Nadu is committed to becoming the country’s data center capital. To support this initiative, the Tamil Nadu Data Center Policy was launched on November 26, 2021, by the Chief Minister. This has encouraged several leading companies to invest in the sector.

About CtrlS Data Center

CtrlS Datacentres Limited, headquartered in Hyderabad, is a leading deep-tech company in data center solutions. The agreement to establish this project was signed in September 2021 in the presence of the Chief Minister. The facility is being developed in two phases across 92,903 square meters.

With 120 megawatts (MW) of power, supported by a 230 KV transmission station, the data center incorporates advanced technology for seamless operations and high security. The first phase, covering 48,000 square meters with a 72 MW power capacity, was completed and inaugurated today by the Chief Minister.

This initiative will significantly contribute to Tamil Nadu’s digital infrastructure and economic growth.
