Pali Mahotsav Concludes with Chief Hospitality of Commerce, Industry, and Labor Minister Shri Devangan

Raipur : The two-day Pali Mahotsav, held on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri, concluded under the chief hospitality of Commerce, Industry, and Labor Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Devangan. Addressing the event, Cabinet Minister Devangan emphasized that the Pali Mahotsav is a moment of pride for the people of Korba. He extended his greetings on Maha Shivaratri and highlighted Pali’s historical and religious significance as the land of Lord Shiva and Mahishasura Mardini. He urged the community to uphold and protect their rich cultural traditions, including festivals, fairs, and folk arts such as Suva and Dadaria.

Minister Devangan lauded the performances of Bollywood, Chhattisgarhi, and local artists, which showcased the region’s vibrant culture. He noted that the event aimed to promote local art, provide a platform for artists, and offer entertainment to the public. He commended the district administration for organizing the festival successfully and assured that similar events would continue in the future. He also highlighted the state government’s commitment to rapid development under Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai’s leadership, with various welfare initiatives benefiting the common people.

Speaking on regional development, he announced that multiple projects had been approved in response to local demands. Plans for the systematic development of key religious and tourist sites would be finalized in an upcoming DMF meeting. He assured continued progress in the region and expressed gratitude to the district administration for hosting the festival.

Collector Shri Vasant extended Maha Shivaratri greetings and emphasized the significance of the Pali Shiva Temple in the festival’s planning. He assured that upcoming meetings would focus on the structured development of historical sites, with active coordination between representatives and officials ensuring swift progress. District Panchayat CEO Shri Dinesh Nag delivered the vote of thanks.

The event was also addressed by Pali Tanakhar MLA Shri Tuleshwar Markam, Katghora MLA Shri Premchand Patel, newly elected Korba Mayor Smt. Sanju Devi Rajput, and other dignitaries. They wished the public a happy Maha Shivaratri and encouraged everyone to enjoy the festival.

As part of the festival’s efforts to promote tourism, winners of the Pali Mahotsav Videography Contest were honored. Ritik Kumar Patel from Pali secured the first prize, Vivek Kumar Yadav from ITI Rampur, Korba, won second place, and Kishan Kumar Markam from Pali secured third place. Guests presented awards to the winners on stage.

The event saw the presence of Nagar Panchayat President Shri Ajay Jaiswal, Sarpanch Smt. Girja Satyanarayan Paikra, Superintendent of Police Shri Siddharth Tiwari, and a large number of citizens. The audience enjoyed captivating performances by local and national artists. The district administration also honored Minister Devangan and other dignitaries with mementos.

Bollywood Singer Shaan Enthralls the Audience

The closing ceremony featured a mesmerizing performance by Bollywood’s renowned singer Shaan. His soulful voice captivated the audience, who danced enthusiastically to his popular songs. Shaan began his performance with the song Main Hoon Don, followed by a devotional invocation to Lord Shiva. He engaged with the crowd through the popular Chhattisgarhi song Chunur Chunur Pairi Baje and delivered stellar renditions of hits such as Char Kadam, Chand Sifarish, Hey Shona, Deewangi Deewangi, Om Shanti Om, Dil Ne Tumko Chun Liya Hai, and Tanha Dil Tanha Safar.

The audience swayed to his music, making the event a memorable celebration. Additionally, renowned Chhattisgarhi singer Dilip Sharangi delivered a captivating performance, adding to the cultural richness of the festival.
