Pope Francis’ Health Improves, No Life Threat, Say Doctors
Vatican City: The Vatican has confirmed that Pope Francis’ health is improving and there is no immediate threat to his life. According to doctors, the 88-year-old pontiff may soon be discharged from the hospital, though his condition remains complex.
In an official statement, the Vatican said, “The Holy Father’s medical condition remains stable. Recent improvements have been confirmed through blood tests, medical examinations, and the effectiveness of his prescribed treatments.” However, doctors have advised that he remain under medical supervision for a few more days to complete his treatment, as he was hospitalized with a serious infection.
During his recovery, Pope Francis is undergoing physical and respiratory therapy. He uses an oxygen mask at night and a high-flow oxygen cannula during the day. Though he has not made any public appearances, he continues to follow Vatican prayers via video link.
Last week, the pope recorded an audio message thanking those who prayed for and supported his recovery. Despite missing the Angelus prayer for four consecutive Sundays, he expressed his gratitude to his medical team. “I deeply appreciate the kindness and care of the doctors and healthcare workers,” he wrote.
While Pope Francis’ health remains under close observation, his steady recovery has reassured the Vatican and his followers worldwide.
