Moving from Heritage to Development: CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that Madhya Pradesh will continue to play a leading role in India’s overall development. He emphasized that the state will contribute significantly to making India the world’s third-largest economy. He reiterated the vision of progressing “from heritage to development” and announced plans to double the state’s annual budget in the next five years without imposing any new taxes. Instead, efforts will be made to increase public income, thereby boosting the state’s revenue.
Speaking at a civic felicitation ceremony organized by the Bhopal Utsav Mela Committee, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav affirmed that Bhopal’s natural wealth and historical heritage will be preserved and enhanced. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the people.
Bhopal to Become a Metropolitan City
Dr. Yadav announced plans to transform Bhopal into a beautiful metropolitan city. City gateways will be constructed at key entry points. ‘Bhoj Dwar’ will be built on Bhojpur Road, and ‘Vikram Dwar’ on the Indore-Ujjain route as a symbol of Samrat Vikramaditya’s good governance.
The Chief Minister highlighted the success of the Global Investors Summit (GIS), which attracted industrialists from across the world to Bhopal. He noted that visitors were captivated by the city’s lakes, culture, and vibrant environment, which he described as Bhopal’s true assets. He also emphasized Bhopal’s uniqueness as the only capital city where humans and tigers coexist, referring to the nearby Ratapani Sanctuary, which is also home to rare falcons.
Dr. Yadav assured that continuous efforts are being made to enhance Bhopal’s beauty and preserve its heritage.
The Bhopal Utsav Mela Committee honored Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for the successful hosting of the Global Investors Summit. Over 35 business associations, industrialists, and social leaders extended their heartfelt congratulations and birthday wishes to him during the Holi Milan ceremony. He was presented with an appreciation certificate for his leadership and efforts in making the summit a success.
Dr. Yadav concluded by emphasizing that with collective effort, the state will reach new heights of development. “We will achieve what has never been done before,” he declared.

During the welcome speech, Shri Manmohan Agrawal remarked that GIS has elevated Bhopal’s reputation on the global stage and praised Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s leadership for accelerating the state’s industrial growth.
