Minister of State for Industries Indranil Naik Conducts On-Site Inspection of TTC Industrial Area

Focus on MIDC Plots and Unauthorized Constructions

Thane : In response to a calling attention notice raised in the Legislative Council by MLCs Dheeraj Lingade and Niranjan Davkhare, Minister of State for Industries, Indranil Naik, conducted an on-site inspection of MIDC plots and unauthorized constructions in the TTC Industrial Area, specifically in Mouje Shil, Survey No. 97/1 & 97, as well as areas in Shil, Khardi, Khan Compound, and Mahape Road.

The inspection was attended by MLCs Dheeraj Lingade and Niranjan Davkhare, along with key officials including MIDC Executive Engineer R.C. Rathod, Chief Engineer Prakash Chavan, Regional Officer Mahendra Patel, Thane Municipal Corporation Engineer Mr. Joshi, Revenue Officer Umesh Patil, Naib Tehsildar Dinesh Paithankar, and representatives from the Land Records and Forest Department.

During the visit, Minister Naik reviewed complaints related to unauthorized constructions in the TTC Industrial Area and discussed potential legal measures with the relevant departmental officials.

Call for Immediate Action on Unauthorized Constructions

Minister Indranil Naik emphasized that MIDC, the Revenue Department, Forest Department, Municipal Corporation, and Land Records Office must collaborate to conduct a swift survey, demarcate boundaries, and take strict action against unauthorized constructions.

He further stated,

“Unauthorized construction on MIDC land should not be allowed. However, if the issue pertains to industrial development, I am open to making necessary decisions. Other matters, however, must be addressed in coordination with the relevant departments. A final decision will be taken based on the legal report submitted by the concerned authorities.”
