<ul class="wp-block-list"> <li><strong>EMU SPECIAL TRAINS </strong></li> </ul>   <p>To clear the extra rush in connection with Maha Mela (Matua) at Thakurnagar, Eastern Railway’s Sealdah Division has decided to run a total of eight (08) numbers of EMU Special trains (04 UP & 04 Down trains). These EMU Special trains will run between Thakurnagar & Gede; Thakurnagar & Lalgola; Thakurnagar & Canning, and Thakurnagar & Namkhana on 26.03.2025 and 27.03.2025 and will stop at all stations enroute.</p>   <p>Gede – Thakurnagar Special (via Ranaghat – Bangaon) will leave Gede at 06:45 hours on 26.03.2025 to reach Thakurnagar at 09:00 hours, and Thakurnagar – Gede Special (via Bangaon - Ranaghat) will leave Thakurnagar at 16:35 hours on 27.03.2025 to reach Gede at 18:40 hours.</p>   <p>Lalgola - Thakurnagar Special (via Ranaghat – Bangaon) will leave Lalgola at 04:50 hours on 26.03.2025 to reach Thakurnagar at 09:31 hours, and Thakurnagar – Lalgola Special (via Bangaon – Ranaghat) will leave Thakurnagar at 15:45 hours on 27.03.2025 to reach Lalgola at 19:55 hours.</p>   <p>Canning – Thakurnagar Special (via Ballygunge - Dum Dum Jn) will leave Canning at 06:35 hours on 26.03.2025 to reach Thakurnagar at 09:35 hours, and Thakurnagar – Canning Special (via Dum Dum Jn - Ballygunge) will leave Thakurnagar at 17:00 hours on 27.03.2025 to reach Canning at 20:15 hours.</p>   <p>Namkhana – Thakurnagar Special (via Ballygunge - Dum Dum Jn) will leave Namkhana at 05:00 hours on 26.03.2025 to reach Thakurnagar at 09:55 hours and Thakurnagar – Namkhana Special (via Dum Dum Jn - Ballygunge) will leave Thakurnagar at 16:05 hours on 27.03.2025 to reach Namkhana at 20:45 hours.</p>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li><strong>SPECIAL LONG DISTANCE TRAINS FOR BANGAON AND THAKURNAGAR –</strong></li> </ul>   <p>To garner the fervour & gaiety in connection with Maha Mela (Matua) at Thakurnagar, Eastern Railways has decided to run special trains between Thakurnagar & Kathgodam; Bangaon & Lumding, and Bangaon & Alipurduar Junction.</p>   <p><strong>05030 Kathgodam – Thakurnagar</strong> Special will leave Kathgodam at 10:00 hours on 26.03.2025 to reach Thakurnagar at 20:40 hours the next day;</p>   <p><strong>05029 Thakurnagar – Kathgodam</strong> Special will leave Thakurnagar at 10:20 hours on 29.03.2025 to reach Kathgodam at 23:15 hours the next day. The train will stop at Naihati, Bandel, Bardhaman, Bolpur, Sainthia, Rampurhat & Malda Town in both directions over Eastern Railway jurisdiction.</p>   <p><strong>05603 Bangaon – Lumding</strong> Special will leave Bangaon at 00:30 hours on 26.03.2025 to reach Lumding at 04:00 hours the next day. The train will stop at Thakurnagar, Naihati, Bandel, Bardhaman, Bolpur Shantiniketan, Sainthia, Rampurhat, Pakur & Malda Town stations enroute over Eastern Railway jurisdiction.</p>   <p><strong>05464 Alipurduar Junction - Bangaon</strong> Special will leave Alipurduar Junction at 14:30 hours on 25.03.2025 to reach Bangaon at 12:00 hours the next day;</p>   <p><strong>05463 Bangaon – Alipurduar</strong> Junction Special will leave Bangaon at 22:50 hours on 28.03.2025 to reach Alipurduar Junction at 18:30 hours the next day. Maharashtra Government Signs MoU with Board of Apprenticeship Training

Mumbai : To provide students with employment-oriented education and training opportunities, the Maharashtra State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Board of Apprenticeship Training (Western Region), Ministry of Education, Government of India, and the Directorate of Higher Education. This initiative aims to enhance students’ skill development, provide hands-on industrial experience, and improve employability. Higher & Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil emphasized the significance of this MoU for students in Maharashtra.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Minister Chandrakant Patil at the Sinhagad Government Residence. The agreement was formally signed by Dr. Shailendra Deolankar, Director of Higher Education, and P. N. Jumle, Director of the Board of Apprenticeship Training.

Under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), AEDP courses have been introduced, offering students more opportunities for apprenticeships along with stipends. During the training period, students will receive a minimum monthly stipend of ₹8,000, with 50% of the amount directly credited to their bank accounts by the Central Government.

Director P. N. Jumle stated that earlier, apprenticeship opportunities were limited to engineering students. However, under the New National Education Policy 2020, apprenticeship opportunities have now been extended to all graduates and diploma holders.

Dr. Shailendra Deolankar, Director of Higher Education, announced that large-scale job fairs will be organized across Maharashtra through its 10 regional offices to benefit students from various colleges.
