Lord Shri Ram Taught Us Higher Life Values – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavi

Golden Jubilee Celebration of Shri Ram Adhyatma Mandir Procession

Nagpur : Lord Shri Ram taught us high moral values and made us aware of our limits. That is why we glorify Ram Rajya as the ideal form of governance. If we recognize the Ram within us, we can destroy demonic forces, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis here today.

He was speaking at the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Shri Ram Adhyatma Mandir Procession, organized by the West Nagpur Citizens’ Association on the occasion of Shri Ram Janmotsav (birth celebration). Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, former Governor Banwarilal Purohit, MLAs Vikas Thakare and Parinay Fuke, Mrs. Amruta Fadnavis, former MP Ajay Sancheti, former MLAs Prakash Gajbhiye and Sudhakar Kohale, office bearers of the Shri Ram Mandir Committee, and several dignitaries were present on the occasion.

Chief Minister Fadnavis said Lord Ram was a national figure who established a kingdom free from discrimination. Highlighting the values of truth and the empowerment of every individual, he emphasized that worshiping Lord Ram symbolizes a collective desire to build such a just state. Ram united common people to form an army that defeated evil forces. He stated that the destruction of demonic forces does not always require a divine incarnation—if every individual realizes the Ram within, these forces can be overcome.

The Chief Minister specially appreciated the inclusion of a replica of the Indian Constitution in the procession. He pointed out that images of Lord Ram and Sita are part of the Constitution and praised it as a vital means to realize Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of Ram Rajya.

Union Minister Gadkari also commended the glorious 50-year journey of the procession during his speech.

A photo booklet consisting of 100 images, created by Pravin Mahajan, Editor of Dainik Lok Vahini, was released at the hands of the Chief Minister.

The introductory speech was given by Shivani Dani-Wakhare, the coordinator of the event. The procession was ceremoniously flagged off after the Chief Minister and other dignitaries performed the palkhi (palanquin) worship.

Chief Minister Fadnavis also inaugurated a motorcycle rally, which passed through Lakshmi Bhavan Chowk, Coffee House, Jhenda Chowk, Shankar Nagar, Bajaj Nagar, Lakshmi Nagar, and Gandhinagar, and concluded at Shri Ram Mandir.

President of West Nagpur Association Ravi Waghmare, Secretary Raju Kalele, Procession Committee Chairperson Shivani Dani, temple officials, and devout followers were present.
