All damaged roads in Haryana to be repaired by June 15: Agriculture Minister Shyam Singh Rana
Chandigarh : Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh Shyam Singh Rana, said that all damaged roads across the state will be repaired by June 15. In line with the directive of Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini, a comprehensive report has been prepared to improve road conditions throughout the State. He emphasized that strict action will be taken to address damage caused by overloading and illegal mining in the Charkhi Dadri district.
Sh Rana made these remarks while interacting with the media persons during a meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee held in Charkhi Dadri on Tuesday. Out of 15 complaints presented at the meeting, six were resolved on the spot, and immediate action was ordered on four others. The remaining five complaints were deferred for discussion in the next meeting.
While hearing complaints regarding road repairs, the Minister reiterated that the Chief Minister and the state government are committed to repairing all damaged roads by June 15. He said a detailed report has been compiled with the help of various departments, and work has already begun to address the issue.
Regarding a complaint about illegal mining and overloaded vehicles, Sh Rana said that overloading is a problem in many areas. In addition to the efforts of the police and district administration, special teams have been formed to tackle this problem. He assured that effective steps are being taken to control overloading and prevent illegal mining. However, no case of illegal mining has so far been reported in the district.
Addressing a grievance about the relocation of a tubewell connection under the electricity department, the Minister directed the department to resolve the issue within the next seven days.
