CIIIT Worth ₹191 Crores to Be Established in Beed District Within Two Weeks of Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar’s Announcement

Initiative by Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar to Provide Free Training to 7,000 Youths Annually; Aims to Foster an Industry-Friendly Ecosystem in Beed

Mumbai : Following the announcement by Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of Beed District, Ajit Pawar, the establishment of a Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training (CIIIT) worth ₹191 crore has been approved for Beed within just two weeks. Tata Technologies has officially communicated its commitment to set up the CIIIT through a letter sent to Ajit Pawar.

The centre aims to equip local students and youth with industry-relevant technical and vocational skills, thus enhancing their employability and promoting entrepreneurship. Around 7,000 youths will receive free training annually, which is expected to significantly boost Beed’s industrial ecosystem.

On April 2, 2025, during his tour of Beed district, Ajit Pawar had announced the launch of a CIIIT in collaboration with the private sector to empower youth with modern industrial skills. In alignment with this vision, he reached out to Tata Technologies, seeking their support for the initiative.

Responding positively, Tata Technologies has committed to investing ₹191 crore in the project. Of this, the Beed district administration will contribute 15% (₹33 crore), while Tata Technologies and its partner organizations will bear the remaining cost. Once established, the CIIIT will provide globally benchmarked training tailored to Industry 4.0 needs.

In the initial three years, Tata Technologies will cover all training expenses. Subsequently, the cost will be jointly borne, with both Tata Technologies and the district administration each contributing 50% annually. This collaboration will ensure that thousands of youth in Beed receive top-tier industrial and technical training, thus bridging the skill gap for industries and opening up employment and self-employment opportunities for the youth.

The initiative is expected to catalyze the creation of an industry-conducive environment in Beed, empowering its youth and strengthening the region’s economic prospects.
