Cheetah Reintroduction – A Major Step Toward Conservation Through Progress and Nature : CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has stated that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Cheetah Project is being successfully implemented on the soil of Madhya Pradesh. By reintroducing cheetahs that had gone extinct from India and almost the entire Asian continent, the state government is consistently advancing toward the goal of conserving nature through progress and enabling progress through the conservation of nature.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that today, he reviewed the Cheetah Project in detail along with Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Shri Bhupender Yadav. It was decided in the meeting that the Cheetah Project will now be expanded in Madhya Pradesh. The Union Minister also offered several important suggestions, including the enhancement of tourist facilities at Kuno National Park. The state government will earnestly implement these suggestions.
In a message to the media on Friday, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that after Kuno National Park in Sheopur, Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary in Mandsaur will become the second site in Madhya Pradesh to host cheetahs. “We are grateful to the central government for granting approval to expand the Cheetah Project. On April 20, we will be taking the next big step by releasing cheetahs into Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary,” he said.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasised that this will be a significant development in the direction of wildlife conservation and will also serve as an exciting opportunity for wildlife enthusiasts and both domestic and international tourists.
