“Tech Wari – Maharashtra Tech Learning Week” to be Held from May 5 to 9 at Mantralaya: Additional Chief Secretary V. Radha

Mumbai : Marking the occasion of Civil Services Day on April 21, the Maharashtra government is set to launch a special training initiative aimed at fostering a culture of skill development among administrative officers and employees. The program also aligns with the Chief Minister’s 100-day agenda, under which over 500,000 government employees have been registered on the Central Government’s iGOT platform — up from 9,000 in just three months — to introduce them to modern technology.

To further this initiative, the Government of Maharashtra has organized a special training program titled “Maharashtra Tech Learning Week – Tech Wari”, scheduled to take place at Mantralaya in Mumbai from May 5 to May 9, 2025, announced V. Radha, Additional Chief Secretary, General Administration Department.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Radha stated that the training will feature sessions, workshops, and thought-leadership discussions led by experts in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), and Cybersecurity. The program’s objective goes beyond imparting technical knowledge — it also aims to promote mental and physical well-being, stress management, and a positive outlook among government employees.

The inaugural event will be held on Monday, May 5, at the Trimurti premises, while a special session is scheduled for Tuesday, May 6, in the conference hall on the sixth floor of Mantralaya. During this session, the Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, will provide guidance on the theme “Digital Transformation and Innovation in Governance.”

Each day of the training week will include dedicated technology sessions for officers and staff at Mantralaya as well as for district-level representatives. Notably, a distinguished guest speaker will deliver a keynote lecture on a technology-related topic each day. Mrs. Radha emphasized that this initiative represents a significant step forward in Maharashtra’s journey into the digital age.
