“Tech Wari: Maharashtra Tech Learning Week” Announced

To foster a culture of training for skill development among Maharashtra’s administrative officers and staff, the General Administration Department of the State Government is organizing “Tech Wari: Maharashtra Tech Learning Week” from May 5 to 9, 2025.

Change is a law of nature, and adapting to evolving times is essential in every sector. Administrative officers and staff must enhance their efficiency, deliver high-quality work, uphold accountability to society, ensure timely and accurate task execution, and adopt a people-centric approach. These are the current demands of public service.

With rapid advancements in technology and societal conditions, it is crucial for administrative personnel to receive training that improves efficiency, provides stress management techniques, and promotes a stress-free work culture. This not only strengthens work commitment but also enhances the quality of governance. In this context, the State Government has urged all departments to ensure their officers participate in online training available on the Central Government’s Integrated Government Online Training (iGOT) platform.

Fusion of Modern Technology and Innovative Ideas

“Tech Wari: Maharashtra Tech Learning Week,” the state’s first digital knowledge pilgrimage, aims to combine modern technology with innovative ideas. It will begin from the Mantralaya (State Secretariat) and reach every district across Maharashtra, symbolizing the spread of technology to every corner and the birth of a tech-savvy state.

The program will feature sessions on Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, and workshops on stress management, healthy lifestyles, and meditation. Various lectures will be held at the Trimurti premises and the 7th-floor conference hall of the Mantralaya. Additionally, 24 startups from different sectors will showcase their innovations, with selected ideas receiving financial assistance of ₹15 lakh.

What is ‘Tech Wari’?

‘Tech Wari’ stands for:

  • T: Tech-enabled Wisdom through Wellness and Work-life Balance
  • E: Emerging Technologies Awareness
  • C: Change and Reform in Governance Practices
  • H: Highly Informed and Inclusive Workforce

This initiative is designed to promote knowledge, health, work-life balance, innovation, efficient governance, and inclusive skill development among government employees.

Maharashtra Ranks Second on the iGOT Platform

The iGOT platform, developed under the Central Government’s Mission Karmayogi, offers a wide range of training modules aimed at enhancing the capabilities of government employees. Upon completing the training, employees receive a certificate, which is also added to their official service records.

Under a 100-day initiative, Maharashtra’s General Administration Department has increased registration on the iGOT platform from 9,000 to over 5 lakh employees in three months, making Maharashtra the second-highest user of the platform in the country.

Whether it’s through Tech Wari or the iGOT platform, these initiatives provide a vital space for self-development amid busy schedules. They not only empower individual officers and staff but also improve the quality and reach of public services. The General Administration Department encourages all government personnel to actively participate in Tech Wari and continue learning through iGOT.
